This half-day interactive training will explore the core aspects of corporate responsibility and how to integrate CSR into the overall business agenda. In particular, the training will examine the definitions of and expectations for corporate responsibility and sustainability for multinational companies. Participants will learn about the business drivers for CSR performance, as well as how to articulate the factors necessary to define the scope of CSR, identify important trends relevant to their business, and define the core functions and practices all companies must maintain for a successful CSR program. Participants will leave with a broader understanding of CSR and the basic information necessary to begin introducing and integrating sustainability into their businesses.

We will use real-world company examples and case studies, which we will tailor to attendees’ interest and expertise, to show how sustainable procurement can become a reality, category by category.

Significant changes are afoot in the sustainability reporting world. To help companies evolve their sustainability reporting approach and strategy, this training session will provide participants with insight into global reporting trends, including materiality considerations, integration with financial reporting, and regulation governing increased disclosure of sustainability issues at the national and regional levels. We will explore how the different initiatives and frameworks like integrated reporting, the Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 guidelines, and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board “play together” and how companies can devise a three- to five-year reporting strategy within this changing context. Rather than covering the basics, this training session will use in-depth case studies of leading reporters to illustrate practical approaches.

Who Should Attend

CSR practitioners from companies already reporting, in all sectors and regions of the world, who are looking to evolve their company’s sustainability reporting.
