Helen Mountford is the Program Director for the New Climate Economy project and Director of Economics at the World Resources Institute (WRI). Previously, she was Deputy Director of Environment at the OECD. She started at OECD as an environmental economist in 1997, where she led work on climate change, biodiversity, and development from 2006-2010, and on fossil fuel subsidies and climate finance, which were inputs to the G20 Leader discussions in 2010 and 2011. She contributed to and managed numerous reports, including on the environment and policy analysis for biodiversity incentive measures, water pricing, and market-based instruments. Prior to the OECD, Mountford managed a U.K. recycling company and worked for an Australian environmental NGO.
